Skypower Aviation Handling Company Limited – SAHCOL was carved out of the liquidated Nigeria Airways Limited (NAL) as part of the Federal Ministry of Aviation’s reform in 1996.

On October 1st 1999, SAHCOL was granted operational autonomy, thus becoming a company administratively and financially independent of the then Nigeria Airways Limited.

However, in May 2004, due to a noticeable lacuna in the earlier registration of SAHCOL, the company had to be re-registered.By this, SAHCOL became a 100% government owned parastatal incorporated as an Aviation Ground Handling Service Provider under the Nigerian Company and Allied Matter Acts of 1990,fully responsible to the Federal Ministry of Aviation.

MISSION
The Mission Statement of SAHCOL is to “Provide quality and efficient Passenger, Ramp and Cargo Handling services in line with best practices and the highest international standards to the delight of our customers and benefit of all stakeholders, utilizing state of the art skills, procedure, equipment, facilities and employing dedicated workforce”
